Fishing Summer Camps
Fishing summer camps at Candlewood Fishing Camp is the true fishing and overnight camping experience for kids. Our camp is open to any level of fishing experience. Therefore, those with vast fishing experience to those throwing a line for the first time are welcome.
Fishing Summer Camp – Location
Candlewood Fishing Camp is located on 100 acres of woodlands with direct water frontage on Candlewood Lake in CT. Young anglers will fish for world class-sized Large and Smallmouth bass. In addition, they will fish with some of the top fishing guides and tournament anglers. Candlewood Lake is annually ranked in Bassmaster Magazine’s Top 25 Best Lakes for bass fishing in the united states. As a result, Candlewood Lake is a favorite destination among both recreational and tournament fishermen.
Fishing Summer Camp – Experience
Campers will learn how to utilize the best techniques for targeting various species of fish. The main focus will be Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass . Campers will fish on state of the art fishing boats. Anglers will leave camp proficient in using a wide variety of lures and live bait. As a result, campers can count on catching multiple fish every day utilizing a number of proven angling methods.
Fishing Summer Camp – Other activities
Other activities at camp include fishing from a canoe, shore fishing and night fishing. Also, swimming, hiking, making their own lures, team-building activities and more. Furthermore, the camp puts a strong emphasis on aspects of boating safety. Also, sun protection, following ethical catch-and-release practices, and building life-long friendships. Fishing Summer Camp – Typical day
Campers will wake up around 6 am for a breakfast around the fire. After that, they will get their fishing gear, apply sunscreen and head down to the boats. Campers will spend approximately 4-5 hours fishing for trophy bass. After lunch, campers will get some relaxation/downtown in their cabins to digest lunch. During the afternoon, campers will be swimming and enjoying beachfront activities. In addition, they will go canoeing, fishing, and enjoying environmental seminars. Campers will then have dinner together around the fire, meanwhile, start to prepare for our evening fishing adventures. In conclusion, campers will have a fishing experience that can have a positive impact on their young lives.
