New Fairfield Summer Camps

New Fairfield summer camps can be a great experience for your child.  Candlewood fishing camps offers the best bass fishing experience for young anglers 9-16 years old.  The camp offers three separate weekly overnight sessions to choose from.  Each sessions runs for 6 days and 5 nights from Sunday to Saturday.

Camping experience

Campers will spend 6 days and 5 nights on the shores of beautiful Candlewood lake.  The camp sits on 100 acres of woodlands and directly on the water. Campers sleep in comfortable rustic cabins a short walk away from the boat docks.  A typical day at camp starts at 6:00 am for breakfast. After breakfast the campers head down to the water to meet their fishing guides.  They will fish for 4 hours before coming back for lunch.  After lunch, they spend the afternoon swimming, canoeing, kayaking and fishing from shore.  After dinner campers head back down to the water and fish until dark. We wrap up the day with a camp fire and fishing stories with lights out at 10:00

New Fairfield Summer Camps – Fishing strategies and techniques

Each of our camp fishing guides has their own unique strategies they will teach the campers. Some guides will focus on fishing swim baits, spinner baits and top waters in shallow areas.  Other guides will focus on deep water techniques such as jigs, drop shots and Ned rigs. Yet other guides will teach how to fish live baits in deep and shallow water and over various structure

Friendly competition

Campers will engage in a week long big bass tournament.  At the end of each day the numbers of fish and their weight will be tallied on a white board at camp. At the end of the week, the campers with the top three largest bass caught will win trophies at the end of camp ceremony.  One camper will be crowned the Candlewood fishing camps big bass champion!
